hours put in 1:35:18 by my mom if i were to guess i think she puts in about four hours of work for every two 1:35:23 minute dance 1:35:24 you can do the math but that's a lot of work 1:35:28 Since third grade, many of us on the stage and in the audience have had the chance to 1:35:33 work with my mom in Lion King, Matilda, Seussical and Spongebob, 1:35:38 and so many before these. 1:35:41 As an eighth grader, and I'm sure for a lot of eighth graders, this year is full of a 1:35:45 lot of lasts. 1:35:46 For me, this is the last Hillview Pack show that I will be able to do with my mom. 1:35:53 in her living room. 1:37:07 I want to thank her for the time she has spent warming us up, calming us down, 1:37:12 and making sure every member of the cast is confident and prepared for the show. I'm an 8th grader here at Hillview. 1:42:38 And I'm very sad to be leaving behind this school and our wonderful drama program. 1:42:41 And one of the people I'm genuinely going to miss the most is our wonderful technical director, Aiden Appleby. 1:42:50 My very first time working with Aiden was when I was a 6th grader doing Seussical the Musical. 1:42:54 And since then I've had the wonderful opportunity... 1:42:56 to work with Aiden for another 12 amazing productions that I've so greatly enjoyed being a part of. 1:43:02 Some things I so greatly admire about Aiden is his amazing hard work and dedication to Hilby drama. 1:43:06 He is a man who is 1:43:09 always willing to go the extra mile for everything he does. If that's staying at 1:43:13 Hilby at 2 a.m. to finish lights, working on the set, or 1:43:18 doing five midterms in one day, so he could make it back on time for the show this Tuesday. 1:43:25 He's also an incredible teacher. 1:43:27 Aiden has taught me so much about broadcasting, theater tech, and lighting and light design 1:43:31 in the three years I worked with him, and I'm so lucky to have learned from you, Aiden. 1:43:35 He's created so many great moments for me here at Hillview, such as every time he's 1:43:38 used me as a mic-ing dummy, or whenever he makes pancakes for tech. 1:43:43 So I really want to thank you, Aiden, for doing so much incredible work and being an 1:43:47 amazing guy. 1:43:48 Thank you so much, Aiden. 1:43:58 My name is Talia, I have the honor of acknowledging my 1:44:04 wonderful dad, Mr. Hairston. 1:44:14 I think I can speak for all of us when I say I appreciate all the hard work that he 1:44:19 has 1:44:20 to these productions. 1:44:21 A backward director can change the entire course of a show, so I'm extremely lucky that 1:44:26 we have such a talented director staging, producing, and making this performance unforgettably magical. 1:44:32 He has given all of us actors so much advice that we are going to miss his humorous impressions of 1:44:37 fun -loving characters like SpongeBob and the Sardines. 1:44:41 All of who are graduating are saying goodbye to my dad. It's bittersweet, just 1:44:47 like the extreme and kind of scary... 1:44:49 amounts of dark chocolate he consumed well there's 1:44:54 chocolate okay thanks 1:44:59 for 1:44:59 being the best director we could ever ask for take your time 1:45:05 on this one 1:45:29 Well, I don't know how I wound up with the mic. 1:45:31 That's not supposed to happen. 1:45:41 I honestly, I don't have any words. 1:45:45 I thank you for sharing this this moment I you 1:45:51 know I just I'd love just take 1:45:55 like five seconds and just all kind of feel each other's 1:46:00 hearts right when I'm 1:46:08 watching the show and I you know I've seen it a lot of times 1:46:13 I feel, this is the corniest thing, but I feel like 1:46:18 my heart comes alive. 1:46:22 Like this area of my body comes alive. 1:46:26 And it's just the most magnificent thing and impossible to put into words 1:46:31 what this means. 1:46:34 So, thank you guys. 1:46:37 Thank all of you. 1:46:38 Thank you. 1:47:09 We'll be right back. 1:47:37 Thank you.
