Oh, I shall practice my curtsy. Don't turn 5:15 your back on me, Scar. Oh no, Mufasa. 5:18 Perhaps you shouldn't turn your back on me. Is that a challenge? Temper, 5:24 temper. I wouldn't dream 5:26 of challenging you. Pity, why not? Well, I got the lion's share of brains, 5:31 but when it comes to brute 5:32 strength, I'm afraid I'm in the shallow end of the gene pool. 5:37 What am I going to do with him? 5:39 Well, sire, he'd make a very handsome throw rug 5:43 And just think, whenever he gets dirty, you can take him out and beat him! 6:05 Zoom, Zoom to lambda yay! 6:14 Thank you. 6:44 Where are we going? 6:49 Why do we get up so early? 6:57 We'll be there. 7:01 Hem, hem, hem, hem, ya, ah, 7:08 hem, hem. 7:16 Sit by me. 7:18 Look, Simba, everything the light touches is our kingdom. 7:24 A king's time as ruler rises and falls, like the sun. 7:29 One day, Simba, the sun will set on my time here 7:33 and will rise with you as the new king. 7:36 This will all be mine? 7:38 Everything the light touches. 7:40 What about that shadowy place over there? 7:42 That's beyond our borders. 7:44 You must never go there, Simba. 7:46 But I thought a king can do whatever he wants. 7:48 Well, there's a lot more to being king than getting your way all the time. 7:51 Dad, what are those birds over there? 7:53 They're buzzards. 7:55 They're scary. 7:55 Why don't you chase them away? 7:57 They have to. They're doing what they're supposed to do. 8:00 You see, Simba, everything exists in a delicate balance. 8:04 As king, you need to understand that balance 8:07 and respect all creatures, 8:09 from the crawling ant to the leaping antelope. 8:12 But Dad, don't we eat the antelope? 8:15 But when we die, our bodies become the grass, 8:18 and the antelope eat the grass. 8:21 Everything is connected in the great circle of life. 8:25 Where are you sire?
